This particular ping pong table
has the defense budgets for the United States and Russia written on
opposite sides of the table. The sign hanging from the lamp overhead has
the words "Feel Free To Play" written on it. On other tables,
I sometimes painted a positive symbol ( + ) on one side of the table,
and a negative ( — ) on the other side of the table. The energy, as well
as the sounds, from people playing on these tables was, for me, a
welcome addition to my installations. |
